Day 1. Pick up from Nairobi at 1000hrs, drive through small scale farmlands to Embu. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Isaac Walton a small hotel set amidst a beautiful garden.

Day 2. After breakfast proceed to Chogoria where special land rovers will be waiting to take you to the Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas in {3000m}. After lunch, your 2hour hike to the road head at {3300m} starts. Dinner and overnight at a well set fly camp next to a small river.

Day 3. After breakfast a 12km hike along a ridge with spectacular views of Lake Michelson in the gorge valley below takes you close to Mintos hut before you take lunch and descend to the gorge valley for a camp night on the shores of Lake Michelson.

Day 4. After breakfast the hike today is short and takes you up the escarpment to the Mintos hut {4200m} next to the hill tarns. After the rather steep ascend you will take rest for lunch here. Afternoon the hike continues along the moorland towards point Lenana, where the camp will be set again. Dinner and overnight at the camp while you enjoy the spectacular of Nelion and Baltion, the main peaks of Mt. Kenya and point Lenana your challenge for tomorrow.

Day 5. Early morning breakfast at 5000hrs, take a steep screed to the Simba Cole and further on to peak Lenana {4895m}. You descend via Lewis glacier on the southern side and continue your hike to the two tarn hut. Lunch is at the American camp. Camp will be set here at the two tarn hut with magnificent views of Baltion and Nelion towering above you.

Day 6. Today you descend on the western side of the mountain to the Machengeni camp a clearing at 3000m in the giant bamboo forest. Lunch will be on the way, dinner and overnight at the fly camp.

Day 7. After breakfast you descend to the forest station where your driver will be waiting for you to take you to mountain Rock hotel for lunch. Proceed to Sweet waters in the Laikipia plains for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 8. After breakfast you take a very unique game drive that introduces you to the rare Chimpanzee and reveals the richness of game in the Laikipia plains. Your mountain adventure is crowned by a delicious lunch at the Sweetwater’s tented camp, and then drives back to Nairobi arrive in the evening.



Day 1. Early morning departure to the Airport for a flight to Kilimanjaro Airport. Transfer to Kia lodge near the airport for dinner and overnight.

Day 2. After breakfast drive to Londo rossi gate via Sanya Juu on to the Lemosho road where you meet your crew. Picnic lunch on the way with a gentle walk of 2-3 hours through a natural forest which take you to the camp at 2650m for dinner and overnight.

Day 3. After breakfast you enter the moorland. The trails climbs steady with wide views over the Shira plateau. You take a 4hr walk with lunch on the way and get to Shira camp for dinner and overnight where wildlife may pay you a visit at night.

Day 4. After breakfast take a short hike of 2-3hrs, ascending Kilute peak 3962m the highest elevation on the Shira plateau. Lunch at the Simba cave. Afternoon continue to Shira hut 3800m. Dinner and overnight at the fly camp.

Day 5. Today’s climb continues towards Lava tower hut but soon branch of towards Shark tooth and Moir hut 4250m just below the tent group. The hike takes 6hrs with lunch on the way. Just after the Moir hut plains of Amboseli one might see Mt. Kenya some 300kms away. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6. After breakfast you continue your hike along the Northern circuit route with the northern ice fields simmering above you. Thee 5hrs walk takes you to the only water source along the route, the Bofu camp 3800m. Dinner and overnight at the fly camp.

Day 7. After breakfast take a 2hrs hike along the moorland, meet the Rongai trail just after the 3rd caves. Lunch is on the way and another 3hrs walk through the rocky moonlike landscape to school hut at 4750m. The exclusive use of the hut gives much better chance to rest in preparing for the next days challenge.

Day 8. Today the final ascend begins at about 1:30am. The hike path gets steeper taking you to the Gillman’s point 5685m. After a short break you proceed along the crater rim to the Uhuru peak 5895m, and then descend through the Stella point to the Barafu hut where you have lunch. A final 3hrs descend takes you to Mweka hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 9. After breakfast you take the final leg of about 4hrs heading for Mweka gate altitude of 1800m. You around the eastern slopes of Kilimanjaro, to Loitokitok in Kenya for a well deserved rest.

Day 10. After breakfast you drive to Amboseli. This park is home to many plain animals like elephant, giraffe, zebras, lion, cheetah and many more. Bird life is also abundant. Dinner and overnight at the Amboseli Serene lodge.

Day 11. Early morning game drive and get a chance of viewing the sunrise on Mount Kilimanjaro which is just magical. Late breakfast at the lodge. After lunch you drive back to Nairobi arrive in the late afternoon.


Day 1. Pickup at 1000hrs from Nairobi drives south east of Nairobi to Loitokitok. Lunch will be on the way. Dinner and overnight at the cottage.

Day 2. After breakfast you spend the day exploring in the Amboseli National park home to many wild animals. This will give you plenty of time to take memorable photos against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3. Early morning transfer to Rongai in Tanzania 4km from Loitokitok. Proceed to Nalemoru starting point of your trek where you meet your mountain crew. The climb starts through a natural rain forest. The days 10km walk will take you about 4hrs. Dinner and overnight at the Sekimba campsite at the edge of the forest belt.

Day 4 After breakfast at about 8.00am your hike through the moorland leads to the 3rd caves where vegetation gives way to alpine desert. The climb takes about 6hrs, lunch at the 2nd cave. Dinner and overnight at the fly camp.

Day 5. After a short nights rest the final ascend starts at 1.30am. The steep path gets you to Giliman’s point 5685m where you watch the sunrise on Mt. Kilimanjaro. Proceed to Uhuru peak 5695m reaching at about 9.00am. After lunch take another 3hrs descend to Horombo 3720m. Dinner and overnight at the fly camp.

Day 6. After a good nights rest you hike through rocky moonlike landscape to school hut at 4750m. The exclusive use of the hut gives much better chances of rest.

Day 7. The 6hrs hike takes you from the moorland into a natural forest beautiful with ancient trees. After lunch at the Mandara, proceed to Marangu gate where you bid farewell to the crew. Transfer to Aishi hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha for your flight back to Nairobi.


Day 1. Arrival and transfer to a Nairobi hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day2. Pick up at 7.00am drive along the Great Rift Valley. Lunch in Nakuru National park famous for the colorful flamingos. Next stop Lake Bogoria known for its hot springs. Evening game drive and a swim in the hotels hot water pool.

Day 3. Early morning game drive. Continue with the rift valley safari with lunch on the way. Pass through the Tugen hills before we climb the Elgeyo escarpments which are the most scenic part of the Great Rift Valley. Dinner and overnight at the Elgon Bandas near the Elgon park gate.

Day 4. Early start at 7.00hrs with adequate game drive around the Mt. Elegon National park. Lunch at the Kitum, one of the famous caves where elephants and buffalos come for a mineral lick. The afternoon game drive will take you to higher altitudes till 3000m, where we will rest for the evening in a campsite.

Day 5. The hike starts today with a 4hr walk, leading to the Koitoboss, and the highest peak on the Kenyan side before crossing the calderas over to Ugandan at thee boarder we find the Ugandan wildlife authority rangers who will accompany us down the Ugandan trails. Dinner and overnight will be in a fly camp at the Mude caves 3500m.

Day 6. Today is the day we trek to Wagagai 4321m, the peak of Mt. Elegon. You walk along the rim of one of the Worlds largest calderas as you approach the summit. A return to the Mude caves for dinner and overnight.

Day 7. You will descend through the scenic mountain forest mixed with bamboo, lunch on the way. On your way you will come across troops of black and white Columbus as well as the blue monkeys and a variety of bird species. At the Bumusoia 1770m at about 2.00pm you bid farewell to your crew and join your drive/guide. Drive to Mbale for dinner and overnight at the sunrise inn.

Day 8. The day’s first visit will be Jinja, Uganda’s second largest city. A visit to the Victoria Falls and Bujagali falls makes your day. After lunch proceed to Kampala Uganda’s capital city/ or your next safari destination.
